Just post what ever tips you have for other creators, and they'll all be added to the OP ^^

  1. Press Tab to rotate parts in almost any direction
  2. Press Ctrl in creature editor to pull apart or reattatch limbs
  3. Press Alt to make a copy of a part or limb
  4. Take apart other user's creations and see how they're made - obviously without saving and sharing, as that's stealing
  5. Use the colour scheme from another creation if you're stuck
  6. make creations that you like, not to impress other people
  7. looking at and commenting on other peoples creations is a good way to get feedback and learn some techniques
  8. dont be afraid to post on this forum in the creators corner or on the ea forums, everyones friendly and theyll give you advice on how to improve things.
  9. try out anything that pops into your head, no matter how stupid it seems
  10. always look to improve but dont underestimate yourself
  11. Turn jelly buttons upside down to make pikachu cheeks.
  12. If making a mech, with a boney limb, rotate it around the body, obviously removing the foot, to eventually get a metallic, mech stucture.
  13. Thinning all of the spine out (except the head) usually gets good results aswell.
  14. Use heycorns for eyes, and use the Detail colour to colour them in
  15. Don't worry if you think it's a bad creation, keep editing it until you're happy!
  16. Hold shift in building editor to temporarily disable the snap-to feature.
  17. Use limbs with out the the feet as interesting headpieces and other stuff lol also, press cntrl and, presto, you can add to limbs!
  18. simplicity can often be the key with a god designe body and limbs the creation can have a betufil/gracefull apearence and requeirs no need for complexity eating details, also a colour scheme can often make a seemingly mediocre creation into a great one if you can't do a good paint job use paint like on another creature with a good paint job i.e subscribe to colourfull creatures sporecast to get plenty of creatures you can use to paint like
  19. If you use enough limbs, it'll stop using them and force you to use more details. This is the best way to make cybogs with (Tested and proven to be correct It's only detail though).
  20. Invisible Limb Glitch
Make a part of the spine as small as possible
Make it and a few other spine parts lie horizontal to the ground, as low as they can go
place a limb on the underside of the spine (after removing the hands)
Make the joint connected to the spine as large as it can go
Move it very slightly so it "snaps" onto the top of the spine
Make the joint as small as it can go
    Violá! INvisible limb.
To make the limb visible, move another arm to the base of your invisible limb.
  21. Use exo limbs to make the body for a great looking mech
  22. To add an insane amount of detail, use only the simplest parts. Heycorns, Knurldowns, Keratinhorns, and Shellshards can be used almost limitlessly due to their low complexity score, and are also some of the most versatile pieces.
  23. Use arms without hands to make custom wings; slap on a few Batboy ears, some feathers, or whatever else you like the look of.
  24. always listen to arastoph...ahem i mean... use building paint jobs on your spaceships to gain a wider selection of materials to mess around with its how shattari and i make such detailed looking spaceships its a technique which is not to known about.
  25. Use stealing crystals and make them largest you can go to make crystal back creatures
  26. Painting-
    - 'Alt' works as 'eyedropper' or copy. used to copy any texture and color previously used.
-'Ctrl' works sort of like a 'color all of the same feature'. for example, having multiple cylinders, using 'Ctrl' will let you color all of the tops the same color and texture at the same time.
-'Shift' will color the entire object the same color.
  27. I'm sure you've all heard of this before, but placing a base or a roof onto a connector and rotating the connector can result in rotated base.
  28. Use several of the same part to make a flowing pattern, usually down the creature's back or side, for a cool effect.
  29. Eyes (or lack thereof) go a long way towards creating the character of your creation. Take a creation and add, change, or remove the eyes, and you may look at it in a whole new light. Choose them carefully to give your creation just the right feel
  30. Using tab, rotate a centered piece (such as a mouth, eye, or weapon) to get some cool effects
  31. When creating posture, try and simulate the same posture as the closest real animal (Ex: if your making a big mammal, imitate a tiger or a bear.) If your creature is radically different, you can even simulate specific parts (ex: where the legs fall, how the eyes sit on the head) from different animals for an exotic, yet realistc, feel. I find google images to be extremely helpful in this case.
  32. Take your time placing parts carefully
  33. Put on some Hearbear ears. Make them a little bigger than the eyes. make it so the top is just hanging over the eyes, and voila! You've got some expensive eyebrows.
